Christian Louboutin Pays Tribute to Barbie

High Heels: Barbie may be turning 50 next year, but she isn't quite ready to trade in her fancy footwear for orthopedic shoes.

Christian Louboutin is designing pumps in iconic Barbie Pantone 219 Pink, which will make their debut at the special runway show that Mattel Inc. is staging during New York fashion week next February.

Fifty as-yet-undisclosed designers will produce Barbie-inspired outfits for the runway, and each of the 50 models will be wearing the pink Louboutins at the show.

"I guess I always had a little 'girlie side' who liked Barbie," Louboutin said. "Barbie needs to wear great
shoes because every girl needs to wear great shoes."

These are Salvatore Ferragamo “Prima” leather ballet flats, was selling for a handsome $390 (RM1369.49) at Neiman Marcus. And now it's on sale at $137 (RM481.08). I'm not surprised at the huge drop in price.

I’m here to tell you what you already know: they’re ugly. Fugly, even. No, really.

I’m convinced the leather and craftsmanship are top-notch, but the styling in no way befits the legacy of the man who shod the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren, Rita Hayworth, etc.

I wouldn't wear it even if you gave it to me for free.

So I was wondering what shoes Rose (Privileged) was wearing in a certain scene, and I finally found it. Thanks to my bitch, Zaza of course who pointed it out that it was Miu Miu. So I did some research and found out that it is Miu Miu's Strappy Bejeweled Sandals priced at £278.88 -> RM1713.06.

It's so pretty! I love the detailed artwork at the heel. Love the color too. Haaaa~
